Gram-positive, rods, 1.8-3.0 x 1.0-1.1 µm. Motile.
Colonies on Luria-Bertani medium are creamy, opaque, and usually rhizoidal after
incubation at 30 ºC for 48 h on LB agar. Growth occurs at 30-45 ºC (optimum 30 ºC),
pH 4.0-10.0 (optimum pH 6.0) and 0-4% (w/v) NaCl (optimum 2%). Facultatively
aerobic.
