Species description is based on a single isolate.
Gram-positive rods, 1.98-2.30 x 0.68 µm. Non-motile. Non-endospore-forming.
Colonies on ISP2 agar medium are centrally  convex, circular, smooth and white.
Growth occurs from 10 to 40 ºC (optimum 25-30 ºC), at pH 6.0-8.0 (optimum pH 7.0)
and in the presence of 0-10% (w/v) NaCl (optimum 0-3%). Aerobic.
Isolated from the surface-sterilized roots of a medicinal plant (Capparis spinosa L.) collected from Urumqi city, Xinjiang, north-west
China.

from: N-acetyl-glucosamine, D-adonitol, D- and L-arabinose, D- and L-arabitol, dulcitol, erythritol, D- and L-fucose, D-galactose,
