Species description is based on a single isolate.
Gram-positive rods. Spores are placed centrally and are not deforming the cells
(admin note).
Colonies are circular, creamy in colour, on TSA at 30 ºC. Growth occurs at pH 6.0-11.0
(optimally at pH 7-8). Temperature range for growth is 10-45 ºC (optimally at 30 ºC.
Grows in the presence of 4% but not 5% NaCl. Aerobic.
Isolated from rice rhizosphere in Qiyang, Hunan Province, China.
