2020.
Gram-positive, long rods, 0.5-0.7 x 5.5-10.5 µm. Motile by peritrichous flagella.
Produce terminal or subterminal, ellipsoidal endospores in swollen sporangia.
Colonies on marine agar are yellowcoloured and approximately 1.5mm in diameter
after 2days incubation at 37 ºC.  Growth occurs at 15-45 ºC (optimally at 37 ºC,) at pH
6-9 (optimally at pH 7) and at  1-9% (w/v) NaCl (optimally at 2-3% NaCl). Growth is not
observed on nutrient, tryptic soy, R2A, blood or MacConkey agars. Strictly aerobic.
Isolated from commercial solar salt in the Republic of Korea.
The type strain is susceptible to ampicillin, chloramphenicol, erythromycin, gentamicin, kanamycin, penicillin G, rifampicin,
streptomycin, tetracycline and vancomycin.
Undetermined.
