Synonym: Niallia taxi (Tuo et al. 2020) Gupta et al. 2020.
Species description is based on a single isolate.
Gram-positive, rods 0.9-1.6 x 1.3-12.5 µm. Produce ellipsoidal endospores in swollen
sporangia.
Colonies are white, non-pigmented, circular, smooth and entire on TSA after 7days.
Growth occurs at 10-45 ºC (optimum 30 ºC), at pH 6-12 (optimum pH 7-8) and in
0-2% (w/v) NaCl (optimum 2% NaCl). Aerobic.
Isolated from surface-sterilized root of Taxus chinensis (Pilger) Rehd. in Guizhou, PR China.
Undetermined.
