Species description is based on a single isolate.
Gram-positive straight rods, 0.4-0.6 x 1.5-5.0 µm, non-flagellated. Motile. Produce
ellipsoidal endospores that lie terminally in the sporangia.
Colonies are circular and pale cream in colour. Grows at 30-64 ºC, with an optimum at
54 ºC, at pH 7-8; not at pH 9-10 and in 0-3% NaCl. Facultatively aerobic. Groows on TH
agar medium.
Isolated from a hot spring in Kamchatka.
Undetermined.
