Gram-positive rods of various shapes, 8.0-12.0 / 2.0 µm, forming a branched
structure with ‘Y’ at the both side. Non-motile. Non-spore-forming.
Colonies are white, smooth, opaque, 1.0-2.0 mm in diameter after 3 days of
anaerobic incubation on TPY agar. Non-haemolytic. Can grow at 22-48 ºC, optimally
at 37 ºC. Grows at pH 4.0-7.5, optimally at pH 7.0. Can grow under aerophilic and
microaerophilic conditions.
Isolated from faeces of a baby common marmoset (Callithrix jacchus).
