Grows in trypticase soy broth/agar at 15, 30 and 42 ºC. Can grow in 1.5 and 2% NaCl.
Isolated from the rhizosphere of different agricultural plants growing in alkaline soils in the northeast of Mexico. Does not fix nitrogen.
Resistant to 5-10 mg/ml arsenic, 1 mg/ml zinc and 0.1 mg/ml copper.
