Gram-negative short rods, 0.8 x 1.2-2.8 μm, occuring in single, in pairs or in short
chains. Motile.
Colonies on TSA agar plate after 24 h incubation at 30 ºC are round (sometimes with
a slightly scalloped margin), smooth, convex, and transparent. The colony diameter is
less than 0.5 mm in diameter. Can grow at 20, 30, 37 and 41 ºC, but not at 4 ºC.
Isolated from a zinc-desertified area in Lommel, Belgium.
Undetermined.

Negative results for arginine dihydrolase, cystine arylamidase, esculin hydrolysis, alpha-fucosidase, gelatin hydrolysis,
alpha-glucosidase (exception may occur), beta-glucosidase, alpha- and beta-galactosidase, beta-glucuronidase,
N-acetyl-beta-glucosaminidase, indole production, lipase (C14), lysine decarboxylase, alpha-mannosidase, protease, phenylalanine
deaminase, starch hydrolysis, Tween 80 hydrolysis, trypsin, alpha-chymotrypsin and oxidative acid production in OF base medium
containing: adonitol, salicin, D-ribose, inositol, mannitol, sorbitol, D- and L-arabinose, mannose, dulcitol, raffinose, rhamnose,
melezitose, melibiose, inulin, sucrose, trehalose, maltose, cellobiose, glucose, galactose, lactose, ethanol (3%), glycerol, xylose and
