Gram-negative curved rods, 0.4-0.5 x 0.5-1.4 μm. Non-motile. Nucleoids are present
inside cells (rarely).
Colonies grown on NSY agar are unpigmented, circular and convex with smooth
surface. Grows at 35 ºC, but not at 5 ºC. NaCl is not required for growth. Maximum
NaCl concentration tolerated is 0.3% (w/v). Aerobic, facultatively anaerobic under
denitrifying conditions.
Isolated from a rock pool filled with freshwater located on the Mediterranean island Corsica, France.

Can assimilate acetate, pyruvate, malate, oxaloacetate, malonate, succinate, D-glucose and L-cysteine.
No assimilation of formate, glyoxylate, glycolate, oxalate, propionate, fumarate, levulinate, citrate, D-mannose, D-galacturonic acid,
D-galactose, D-lyxose, D-fructose, D-fucose, D-sorbitol, L-glutamate, L-aspartate, L-alanine, L-serine, L-asparagine or betaine.
