Gram-negative slightly curved rods, 0.3-0.6 x 0.6-1.7 μm. Non-motile. No flagella
synthesis gene.
Colonies grown on NSY agar are non-pigmented, circular and convex with smooth
surface. Growth occurs at 5-34 ºC. NaCl is not required for growth. Maximum NaCl
concentration tolerated is 0.5% (w/v). Aerobic.
