Gram-negative, short rods. Motile. Non-spore-forming.
Grows on nutrient agar. Optimum growth temperature is 28 ºC. Growth range 4-37 ºC,
pH 6.0-8.0 and 0-4% NaCl. Facultatively anaerobic.
Isolated from sap extracted from Acer pictum in Mt. Halla in Jeju, Republic of Korea.

Positive results for beta-galactosidase (PNPG), esculin hydrolysis, acid production from glucose.
Can utilize arabinose, citrate, glucose, gluconate, malate, D-mannose, D-mannitol, and N-acetyl-glucosamine.

Negative results for arginine dihydrolase, gelatinase, indole production, oxidase, and urease.
No utilization of adipate, caprate, maltose and phenylacetate.
