Lancefield A-G group antigens are not detected.
Gram-positive, ovoid-shaped cells, occuring in single cells, pairs, or short chains.
Non-motile.
After 48 h of anaerobic incubation at 37 ºC on blood agar plates, colonies are 1-2 mm
in diameter, grey, smooth, flat, and non-haemolytic. Grows at 45 ºC but slow growth
is observed at 10 ºC. Growth in BHI with 6.5 % NaCl. Facultatively anaerobic.
Isolated from a swine-manure storage pit.
Undetermined.
