xieshaowenii Ge et al. 2020.
Gram-positive cocci, 0.6-0.9 µm in diameter, occurring singly or in pairs. Non-motile.
Colonies after 24h aerobic + 5% CO2 incubation at 37 ºC on BHI agar with 5% sheep
blood are 0.1-0.2mm in diameter, pale white, smooth, circular with regular edges and
alpha-haemolytic. Grows at 16-45 ºC (optimum 37 ºC), at pH 5.0-10.0 (optimum pH
7.0) and up to 3.5% (w/v) NaCl (optimum 0.5%).
Isolated from the cloacal content of a snow finch (Montifringilla taczanowskii), which was incidentally captured in a plateau pika burrow
on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, China.
Resistant to azithromycin, clarithromycin, clindamycin, erythromycin and metronidazole. Susceptible to ampicillin, cefaclor, ceftriaxone,
cefotaxime, chloramphenicol, ciprofloxacin, doxycycline, fosfomycin, linezolid, meropenem, penicillin, sulfamethoxazole+trimethylprim,
tetracycline and vancomycin.
Undetermined.
