Gram-positive rods, 0.6-0.8 / 0.9-2.7 µm. Non-spore-forming. Non-motile.
Colonies are yellowish, translucent, flat, irregular edge, with a diameter of 2.2-5.2 mm
after 48 hours of anaerobe incubation at 37 ºC on MRS agar. No growth at 15 ºC.
Weak growth at 30 and 45 ºC. Grows at pH 4.0-8.0. Anaerobe.
Isolated from the jejunum of field vole (Microtus agrestis), Lithuania.

alpha-D-xyloside, rhamnose, salicin, sorbitol, L-sorbose, starch, D-tagatose, trehalose, turanose, xylitol, D- and L-xylose, and methyl
beta-D-xylopyranoside.

Variable results for the fermentation of galactose, glucose (with gas production), maltose, melibiose, raffinose, ribose, and sucrose.
