Gram-positive rods. Non-motile. Non-spore-forming.
Colonies are white, opaque, smooth and 0.4 mm in diameter after 2 days of incubation
at 37 ºC on 5% sheep blood-enriched Columbia agar in anaerobic atmosphere. Optium
growth at 37 ºC. Anaerobic.
Isolated from the faecal flora of a 25-year-old healthy French woman and from the ileum of a sick French woman.
