Zhang, Yang, Su, Rollins and Zhang 2017.
Gram-positive rods, occurring singly, in pairs and in short chains. Non-motile.
Non-spore-forming.
Surface colonies opaque, umbonate with irregular edge, 1.0-1.5 mm in diameter after
2 days of incubation at 37 ºC on MRS agar. Alpha-haemolytic on Columbia blood
agar. Can grow at 25-45 ºC (optimally at 37 ºC), pH 3.5-10.0(optimally at pH 5.0-5.5)
and in 0.5-3.0% NaCl medium. Facultatively anaerobic.
Isolated from the intestinal contents of Northern Bobwhites (Colinus virginianus), USA.
Undetermined.
