Gram-positive straight rods, occurring singly, in pairs or in short chains. Non-motile.
Non-spore-forming.
Colonies are creamy, smooth,  dome shaped after 2 days at 30 ºC on mMRS agar.
Grows at 10-30 ºC, pH 3.6-6.2, and NaCl 0-6%. No growth at 32 ºC. Facultative
anaerobic.
Isolated from a traditional Chinese fermented radish.
Undetermined.
Description is based mostly on API 50 CHL, API 20E and API 20NE (bioMerieux) results.

Positive results for acid production from adonitol, amygdalin, cellobiose, D-fructose, galactose, gentiobiose, glucose (without gas
production), lactose, maltose, mannitol, mannose, melibiose, ribose, salicin, trehalose, and N-acetylglucosamine.

Negative results for arginine dihydrolase, catalase, gelatinase, H
