Gram-positive rods, 0.2-0.4 x 1.0-8.0 μm. Nonmotile. Nonspore-forming.
Colonies are round, white, glossy and up to 2 mm in diameter after 4 days at 30 ºC
under anaerobic conditions on MRS agar. Grows at 15-40 ºC, Optimum growth
temperature is 30 ºC. Grows at pH 4.0-8.0, optimally at pH 6.0. Grows in 1-6.5% NaCl.
Facultatively anaerobic.
Isolated from alfalfa silage, Japan.
Undetermined.
