Gram-positive rods, 0.8-1.1 / 1.3-4.3 μm, occurring singly or in pairs. Non-motile.
Nonspore-forming.
Colonies are ivory, translucent, flat slightly undulate, glistening, 0.5-1 mm in diameter
after incubation on MRSFNucFa agar (MRS with 20 g/l fructose, 100x nucleosides and
1 mg/l folic acid) under anaerobic conditions. Grows at 17-40 ºC, optimally at 23 ºC, at
pH 5.0-7.5, optimally at pH 5.0 and in 0-0.5% NaCl. Glucophilic.  Facultatively
anaerobic.
Isolated from the sugarbag bee (Tetragonula carbonaria), an Australian stingless bee species.
Undetermined.
