Species description is based on a single isolate.
Gram-positive round to ovoid cells. Non-motie. Endospores are not formed.
Grows well anaerobically on MRS agar at 30 ºC. Grows at 20-37 ºC, but not at 10 ºC
(weak growth reported in Li's study) or 45 ºC. Grows in 6% NaCl and at pH 5.0.
Facultatively anaerobic.
Isolated from fresh cummingcordia, the main ingredient of pobuzihi (fermented cummingcordia), a traditional fermented food in Taiwan.
Undetermined.
