Gram-positive coryneform cells, having a rod-coccus life cycle. Motile.
Colonies on trypticase/soy agar are round, smooth and yellow. Alkalitolerant, does not
grow at pH 6.0, but does grow at pH 7.0-12.0, with an optimum at pH 7.0-8.0 Optimum
growth temperature is 28-30 ºC. Aerobe.
Isolated from soil from Daejeon City, Korea.

Positive results for alkaline phosphatase, catalase, alpha-glucosidase, nitrate reduction, indole production, acetoin production, and
pyrazinamidase.
Can assimilate/utilize D-glucose, D-ribose, mannose, mannitol, maltose, gluconate and malate.
Oxidizes Tween 40, Tween 80, D-arabitol, D-ribose, xylitol, acetic acid, p-hydroxyphenylacetic acid, methyl pyruvate, pyruvic acid,
adenosine, 2'-deoxyadenosine, inosine, thymidine, uridine and thymidine 5'-monophosphate.

Negative results for pyrrolidonyl peptidase, N-acetylglucosaminidase and urease.
No utilization of glycerol, L-arabinose, D-galactose, inositol, and L-rhamnose.
