Species description is based on a single isolate.
Gram-positive short rods, 0.3-0.7 x 1.1-1.5 µm. Motile. Non-spore-forming.
Colonies on modified ZoBell 2216E agar are white, circular, lubricious and opaque
after 36 hours growth at 35 ºC. Grows at 4–50 ºC (optimum 40 ºC), at pH 7.0-12.0
(optimum 9.0) and in the presence of 0-12% (w/v) NaCl (optimum 1% (w/v) NaCl).
Aerobic.
Isolated from a deep-sea sediment of the western Pacific Ocean.
Undetermined.
