Species description is based on a single isolate.
Gram-positive cocci. Non-motile. Non-spore-forming.
Colonies are circular, ivory white, opaque and approximately 0.5-1.0 mm in diameter
after 48 h at 28 ºC. Growth occurs at 0.5-30% (w/v) NaCl, KCl or MgCl2 * 6H2O (optimum
growth at 10%, w/v). Good growth occurs at initial pH of 7.0-8.0 and at 28 ºC. Weak
beta-haemolysis after 72h incubation. Aerobic.
Isolated from a saline soil sample from Xinjiang Province, China.
