Species description is based on a single isolate.
Gram-positive cocci. Non-motile.
Colonies on Columbia blood agar base supplemented with 5% defribrinated horse
blood, incubated at 37 °C, are non-pigmented and produce a weak alpha-haemolysis.
Facultatively anaerobic.
Isolated from the nose of a healthy mouse. Habitat is unknown.

Positive results for catalase, cystine arylamidase, esculin hydrolysis, ester lipase C-8, alpha-glucosidase, leucine arylamidase,
nitrate reduction, pyrazinamidase, trypsin (weak), valine arylamidase, acid production from glucose, lactose, maltose, methyl
beta-D-glucopyranoside, sucrose and trehalose.
Negative results for alkaline phosphatase, arginine dihydrolase, esterase C-4, alpha-fucosidase, alpha-galactosidase,
beta-glucosidase, beta-glucuronidase, hippurate hydrolysis, lipase C14, alpha- and beta-mannosidase, pyrrolydonyl arylamidase,
urease, Voges-Proskauer test, acid production from L-arabinose, D-arabitol, cyclodextrin, glycogen, mannitol, melibiose, melezitose,
N-acetylglucosamine, pullulan, raffinose, ribose, sorbitol, tagatose and D-xylose.
Variable results for acid phosphatase, chymotrypsin, pyroglutamic acid arylamidase, and beta-galactosidase.
