susongensis Bao et al. 2015.
Species description is based on a single isolate.
Gram-positive cells, showing a rod-coccus cycle (rods changed into a coccoid shape
after 20 h icubation). Non-motile. Non-spore-forming.
Colonies on PYES are circular, convex and pale yellow, with a smooth surface and
0.5-1.5 mm in diameter after incubation for 48 h at 30 ºC. Can grow at 15-37 ºC
(optimum, 30 ºC), at pH 5-9 (optimum, pH 8) and with 0-5% (w/v) NaCl (optimum,
1%). Aerobic.
Isolated from the surface of weathered biotite in Susong, Anhui Province, China.
Undetermined.
