Synonym: Bisgaard taxon 5.
Gram-negative, pleomorphic rods. Non-motile.
Colonies on blood agar are approximately 2 mm in diameter, smooth and shiny,
without pigment, opaque, circular and slightly raised with an entire margin and soft
consistency after 24 h aerobic incubation at 37 ºC. Non-haemolytic on 5% bovine
blood agar. No requirement for X-factor (positive in porphyrin synthesis) or V-factor (no
NAD requirement). No growth with KCN. No growth on MacConkey medium.
Isolated from pharynx of guinea pigs.
Undetermined.
