Species description is based on a single isolate.
Gram-negative rods, 0.5 x 1.5-2 μm. Motile by polar flagella. Non-spore-forming.
Colonies are circular and yellow pigmented. Grows at 16-37 ºC (optimum 30 ºC), at
pH 6-8 (optimum pH 7) and in the presence of 0-6% NaCl (optimum 1% NaCl).
Aerobic.
Isolated from a soil sample in Hubei, PR China. Can degrade  benzo(a)pyrene.
Undetermined.
