Species description is based on a single isolate.
Gram-negative rods, 0.8-0.9 x 1.6-2.3 µm. Motile by polar flagella. Non-spore-forming.
Colonies are yellow, circular, convex and fluorescent and 1.5-2.0 mm in diameter after
48 h of growth at 24 ºC in nutrient agar. Temperature for growth ranges between 4
and 30 ºC, growth pH ranges between 4 and 10. Optimal growth occurs at 20-24 ºC
and pH 6-8. Able to grow with up to 5 % NaCl in nutrient agar. Strictly aerobic.
Isolated from bark beetle (Hylesinus fraxini) in the Czech Republic.
