Phylum Pseudomonadota (Proteobacteria), Class Gammaproteobacteria, Order Pseudomonadales, Family Pseudomonadaceae,
Genus Pseudomonas, Pseudomonas folii Tambong et al. 2022.
Gram-negative rods, 0.6-1.6 x 1.5-2.5 µm. Motile by one or two polar flagella.
Non-spore-forming.
After 48 h on King's B medium, colonies are white-yellowish and circular, 4 mm in
diameter, convex with regular margins and do not produce fluorescent pigments.
Growth in different NaCl concentrations optimal at 4%, and grows at 4 ºC with optimal
growth at 28-30 ºC and no growth at 40 ºC. Strong growth at pH 6 but very weak growth
at pH 5. Aerobic.
Isolated from necrotic wheat leaf tissues naturally infected by Xanthomonas translucens from Alberta, Canada.

Negative results for alpha-glucosidase, alpha- and beta-galactosidase and beta-glucuronidase.
