Phylum Pseudomonadota (Proteobacteria), Class Gammaproteobacteria, Order Pseudomonadales, Family Pseudomonadaceae,
Genus Pseudomonas, Pseudomonas frederiksbergensis Andersen et al. 2000.
Gram-negative, 0.5-0.8 x 1.5-3.0 μm, motile rods.
Colonies are smooth and pale yellowish and did not produce fluorescent pigments.
Strictly aerobic, growth at 4 ºC; no growth over 30 ºC. No growth occurs in the
presence of 4% NaCl. Media: Nutritive agar, Trypticase Soy Agar, Luria Bertani, King’s
medium B agar.
Isolated from a coal gasification site in Frederiksberg, Denmark.
Unknown (none). Phenanthrene-degrading bacterium.
