Species description is based on a single isolate.
Gram-negative rods, 1.5 x 2.9 µm. Motile by  one polar flagellum. Non-spore-forming.
Colonies are pale-yellow and mucoid, with diffuse edges. In R2A medium, cells can
grow between 20 and 35 ºC (optimum 28 ºC), in 1% NaCl, but not in 4% NaCl. Aerobic.
Isolated from the rhizosphere of wheat  in Grandcour, Switzerland.
Resistant to rifamycin SV, lincomycin, guanidine HCl, niaproof 4, vancomycin and potassium tellurite.
