Genus Pseudomonas, Pseudomonas gregormendelii Kosina et al. 2022.
Gram-negative, short rods. Motile. Non-spore-forming.
Colonies are smooth, flat with thickened centre, regular margins, 1-3 mm in diameter
when cultivated on TSA at 30 ºC. They are non-pigmented and do not produce
fluorescent pigments on King B medium. No haemolytic activity on sheep blood agar.
They grow in the range of 5-30 ºC and 0-5% NaCl. No growth on TSA supplemented
with 6.5 % NaCl. Aerobic.
Isolated from Antarctic soils.
Resistant to ceftazidime, aztreonam, ticarcillin and ticarcillin-clavulanate. Sensitive to piperacillin-tazobactam, gentamicin, ofloxacin,
ciprofloxacin, cefoperazone, colistin, amikacin, cefoperazonesulbactam, cefepime, imipenem and meropenem.
Undetermined.
