Species description is based on a single isolate.
Gram-negative rods, 0.7-1.0 x 1.5-2.0 μm. Motile by one polar flagellum. Poly-beta-
hydroxybutyrate is not accumulated.
Colonies are circular, smooth, creamy, convex and measure 0.5-1.5 mm in diameter
after 3 days incubation on MA at 30 ºC. Growth occurs on R2A and TSA. Pyocyanin or
fluorescent pigments are not produced. Grows at 4-37 ºC, at pH 5.5-10.0 and in
0-10% NaCl. Aerobic.
Isolated from black sand collected from Soesoggak, Jeju Island, Korea.
