Gram-negative, short rods. Motile by a single polar flagellum. Non-spore-forming.
Capsule is not produced.
Colonies are smooth, round yellow-white. Grows at 41 ºC but not at 4 ºC (optimum
growth at 37 ºC), at pH 7.0 and up to 4% NaCl concentration. Fluorescent pigment or
pyocyanine are not produced.
Isolated from a forest soil sample obtained from Changchun, Jilin Province, China.
Undetermined.

Positive results for arginine dehydratase, casein hydrolysis, catalase, gelatin liquefaction, H2S production, lipase, oxidase, starch
hydrolysis, urease, and PHB degradation.
Can utilize: D-xylose, D-mannose, D-fructose, glucose, sucrose, turanose, gentiobiose, cellobiose, L-lactic acid, citric acid, Tween 40,
glycerol, D-mannitol, maltose, L-serine and L-histidine.

Negative results for indole production, methyl red test, Voges-Proskauer test, denitrification, glucan production and fructan production.
No utilization of: lactose, D-sorbitol, ethanol, galactose, trehalose, arabinose, L-sorbose, inositol, D-serine, gamma-aminobutyric
acid, 2,3- butanediol or sarcosine.
