Phylum Pseudomonadota (Proteobacteria), Class Gammaproteobacteria, Order Pseudomonadales, Family Pseudomonadaceae,
Genus Pseudomonas, Pseudomonas iridis Duman et al. 2021.
Gram-negative rods, 0.9-1.1 x 3.1-3.7 µm. Motile by one polar flagellum.
Non-spore-forming.
Colonies grown on Luria-Bertani medium for 48 h at 30 ºC are round, flat, opaque and
beige coloured, with regular margins and translucent margins and approximately 3-6
mm in diameter. Produce fluorescent pigment on King’s B agar. Pigment is not
produced on King A agar. Grows at temperatures between 4-37 ºC (optimum 30 ºC),
at pH 7.0-9.0 and in the presence of 0-9% (w/v) NaCl. Aerobic.
Isolated from the abdominal cavity of asymptomatic and symptomatic rainbow trouts (Onchorhynchus mykiss), Turkey.
Undetermined.
