Phylum Pseudomonadota (Proteobacteria), Class Gammaproteobacteria, Order Pseudomonadales, Family Pseudomonadaceae,
Genus Pseudomonas,
Pseudomonas mucoides Duman et al. 2021.
Gram-negative rods, 0.9-1.0 x 1.9-2.4 µm. Motile by one polar flagellum.
Colonies on King B agar are round, flat, opaque, beige-coloured and very mucoid
with regular margins and are approximately 4mm in diameter after growth for 2days at
30 °C. Fluorescein pigment is produced, but pyocyanin is not. All strains are
gamma-haemolytic.Grows at 4-37 ºC, pH 7-9 and in the presence of 0-4.5% NaCl.
Aerobic.
Isolated from rainbow trout  (Oncorhynchus mykiss) cultured in farms in Turkey.
Isolated from asymptomatic fish.
