Phylum Pseudomonadota (Proteobacteria), Class Gammaproteobacteria, Order Pseudomonadales, Family Pseudomonadaceae,
Genus Pseudomonas,
Pseudomonas pohangensis  Weon et al. 2006.
Gram-negative, nonspore-forming, rod-shaped cells, nonmotile, 0.6-0.8 x 1.5-3.0 µm.
No poly-beta-hydroxybutyrate accumulation.
Colonies are irregular and cream-coloured after 48 hours on marine agar. Cells are
nonfluorescent on King A and B media. Aerobic, optimal growth temperature 25-30
ºC; growth occurs at temperatures of 4-35 ºC; pH 5-9 (optimum pH 7-8) and at NaCl
concentrations of up to 3% (optimum 1%).
The type strain was isolated from seashore sand in Pohang, Korea.
Unknown.
