Species description is based on a single isolate.
Gram-negative rods, 0.4-0.6 x 1.7-2.2 µm. Non-spore-forming. Motile by a single polar
flagellum.
Colonies grown on R2A agar for 2 days are yellowish, smooth, circular, convex and
1-2 mm in diameter with regular margins. Good growth on NA and R2A agar;
moderate growth on TSA; no growth on MacConkey agar or Marine Agar. Growth
occurs at 7-33 ºC (optimum, 25-28 ºC), at pH 5.0-10.0 (optimum, pH 6.0-7.0) and in
the presence of 0-0.5% (w/v) NaCl (optimum, 0%). Strictly aerobic.
Isolated from the root of Bergenia scopulosa collected from Taibai Mountain in Shaanxi Province, north-west China.
Undetermined.
