Gram-negative, nonspore-forming rods, 1-1.5 x 2-4 μm, occurring singly or in pairs.
Motile by polar flagella.
Colonies on nutrient agar are circular, smooth, nonpigmented and 2-3 mm in
diameter (after 24 hours of cultivation). No fluorescein (King B medium) and
pyocyanine (King A medium) production. Growth occurs at 4-35 ºC, with optimum
growth at 28-35 ºC. Growth occurs in up to 5% NaCl.
Isolated from soil.
