Pseudomonas yangonensis Tohya et al. 2020.
Gram-negative rods, 0.2-0.6 x 1.0-2.0 µm. Motile by polar flagella. Non-spore-forming.
Colonies on LB agar are circular, convex, creamy and usually 0.5–2.0mm in diameter
after 2 days incubation at 30 ºC. Does not produce fluorescent pigments on King’s
A and King’s B agar. Grows at temperatures between 4-44 ºC, at pH 6.0-9.5 and in the
presence of 0-7% (w/v) NaCl. Aerobic.
Isolated from a wound sample of a patient hospitalized in Yangon, Myanmar.

Positive results for acid and alkaline phosphatase, arginine dihydrolase, catalase, esterase (C4), esterase lipase (C8), lipase (C14),
leucine arylamidase, naphthol-AS-BI-phosphohydrolase and oxidase.
Can assimilate (API 20NE): glucose, L-arabinose, D-mannitol, potassium gluconate, n-capric acid, adipic acid, DL-malic acid and
sodium citrate.
Can utilize as sole carbon source (Biolog GEN III system): alpha-D-glucose, D-galactose, D-  and L-fucose, D-mannitol,
D-fructose-6-phosphate, inosine, glycerol-L-proline, L-alanine, L-arginine, L-aspartic acid, L-glutamic acid, L-histidine, L-serine,
D-galacturonic acid, L-galactonic acid lactone, D-gluconic acid, D-glucuronic acid, glucuronamide, mucic acid, D-saccharic acid,
p-hydroxy-phenylacetic acid, methyl pyruvate, L-lactic acid, citric acid, alpha-keto-glutaric acid, D- and L-malic acid, bromo-succinic
acid, Tween 50, gamma-amino-butyric acid, alpha-hydroxybutyric acid, beta-hydroxy-D,L-butyric acid, alpha-ketobutyric acid, propionic
acid, acetic acid and formic acid.

Negative results for nitrate reduction.
No utilization of: glycerol, L-pyroglutamic acid and quinic acid.
