parasuis Nomoto et al. 2015.
Gram-positive cocci, 0.5-1 μm in diameter, occurring in pairs or in chains, commonly
over 10 cells long. Non-spore-forming. Non-motile.
Colonies on blood agar at 37 ºC are small, circular and non-pigmented, 0.5-1.0 mm
in diameter and alpha-haemolytic. Can grow at 10, 22, 30, 37 and 42 ºC. Does not
grow in the presence of 6.5 % (w/v) NaCl.
Isolated from the saliva of a clinically healthy pig.
Undetermined.
